Respondendo ao desafio do João deixo aqui o top 50 dos álbuns que eu acho terem sidos os melhores da presente década. Confesso que não foi nada fácil, certamente falharam-me álbuns que não me vieram à memória, mas durante 10 anos ouve-se tanta música...Tantos álbuns que ficaram de fora...
Outra parte difícil foi ordená-los, são todos excelentes e custa despejar álbuns para os lugares 40s e 50s :)

Rage Against The Machine vencem "batalha" de Natal em Inglaterra
Mais de meio milhão de pessoas compraram "Killing In The Name", de forma a destronar do top de Natal single do vencedor de concurso televisivo. RATM agradecem com concerto. Saiba mais.
Os Rage Against The Machine, com a música de 1992, "Killing In The Name", são os vencedores da "batalha" de Natal travada nas tabelas de singles inglesas, na passada semana.
A história é simples, ainda que bizarra, e passou por - através de uma campanha no Facebook e outras redes sociais - impedir que o vencedor do concurso televisivo X Factor, Joe McElderry, fosse o número um deste Natal com uma versão de Miley Cyrus, "The Climb".
Em Inglaterra, o número um de Natal, ou seja, a canção mais vendida na semana das festas, é uma verdadeira instituição da pop.
Ao final de uma semana renhida, os Rage Against The Machine acabaram por levar a melhor, vendendo mais de 500 mil downloads de "Killing In The Name", contra 450 mil cópias compradas do novato Joe McElderry.
No final, uma das grandes vencedoras foi mesmo a indústria discográfica britânica, que assim conseguiu a sua melhor semana de sempre no que toca a downloads pagos.
Entusiasmados com a vitória, os Rage Against The Machine já agradeceram o apoio - e as mais de 65 mil libras a entregar a uma instituição de apoio aos sem abrigo. De igual forma, a banda de Tom Morello e Zack de la Rocha promete cumprir a promessa que fez de, caso vencesse a disputa, dar um concerto grátis em Londres, no próximo Verão.
Em declarações à BBC Radio 1, o vocalista Zack de la Rocha mostrou-se "em delírio" com as notícias, elogiando o facto de "uma acção espontânea conduzida pelos jovens no Reino Unido ter derrubado este monopólio da pop tão estéril. Quando os jovens decidem passar à acção, são capazes de tornar possível aquilo que parecia improvável".
Os Rage Against The Machine causaram polémica na BBC Radio, de resto, ao interpretarem, em directo, "Killing In The Name", não seguindo as instruções da estação e cantando a tirada "fuck you I won't do what they tell me". A BBC Radio acabaria por pedir desculpa aos seus ouvintes pelos impropérios.

Em Cheio!
Eu tinha esperanças que haveria justiça e a Pitchfork não falhou. 'My Girls' dos Animal Collective ficou com a musica do ano deste 2009.

"My Girls", the catchy, gloriously harmonized highlight of Merriweather Post Pavilion, is all heart-- arguably the most earnest expression of basic human want recorded in 2009. Panda Bear's promise to provide a proper house for his wife and young daughter, in the wake of his father's death-- "But to provide for mine who ask, I will, with heart, on my father's grave," he pledges-- yielded a blissful, near-ecstatic song that practically requires participation, be it hollering along (try to keep yourself from yelling a synchronized "ooooh!" after the chorus) or shimmying in your subway seat. Panda Bear and Avey Tare's harmonies here are warmer (and groovier) than most anywhere else in the band's catalogue, and the electronics are gentle and buoyant; in some ways, "My Girls" feels like a life preserver for people tottering on the precipice of adulthood. Panda Bear might be apologetic about his craving ("I don't mean to seem like I care about material things," he hedges), but "My Girls" is ultimately a celebration of the simplification-- of desire, of priorities-- that comes with growing up. --Amanda Petrusich
